The newest AI-enabled SmartServices offering helps enterprises avoid unnecessary truck rolls, improve first-time fix performance and reduce onsite disruption
HEBRON, Kentucky and WOODBRIDGE, Ontario (September 30, 2026) — Pomeroy Technologies, LLC and its Canadian entity, Soroc, A Pomeroy Company, today announced SmartField, an AI-enabled field service offering designed to reduce unnecessary dispatches and improve the outcome of every onsite service event.
SmartField transforms traditional break-fix field service into an intelligently orchestrated operating model that determines whether a technician needs to be dispatched, identifies the right response when onsite service is required and validates that the issue was resolved before the work is closed.
Traditional field service often begins with a ticket and ends with a dispatch. When diagnosis is incomplete, technicians may arrive without the right context, skills or parts, leading to repeat visits, higher costs and longer disruption for employees and the business.
Built on BanzAI™, Pomeroy’s proprietary adaptive AI platform, SmartField applies intelligence across the entire field service lifecycle.
Before a dispatch, SmartField triages the issue and attempts a remote fix first. If onsite service is required, it provides the technician with relevant context, aligns skills and resources to the work, and optimizes scheduling around territory, travel time and workload. Once the work is complete, evidence capture, AI-assisted validation and customer confirmation verify the outcome before the incident is closed.
The result is a field service model designed to send fewer trucks, make better dispatch decisions and get more work right the first time.
“Every dispatch is a decision, and most organizations make it by default,” said Dan Huberty, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at Pomeroy. “A ticket comes in and a truck goes out. SmartField replaces that reflex with intelligence. It works the problem remotely first, determines when onsite service is actually necessary and gives the technician better intelligence when a visit is required. Then it learns from the outcome so the next decision can be even better.”
SmartField joins SmartWorkplace and SmartDesk in Pomeroy’s growing suite of SmartServices, which embeds full-spectrum AI and zero-touch automation directly into service delivery rather than adding them as a separate layer. Together, the offerings extend intelligent orchestration across the support environment, from employee requests and remote resolution to work that must be completed in the field.
Pomeroy plans to introduce additional SmartServices offerings through early 2027.
